CIMmultus® Monoliths are reusable chromatography devices for scalable high-resolution purification of complex biological samples. Inside the custom designed housing is a single piece stationary phase with homogeneous channel size and surface chemistry. This stationary phase is designed to simplify method transfer from development into production.
They can be used as single-use disposable or multi-use columns, and they are available in various volume ranges – from 1mL for screening and method development purposes up to 40L for industrial manufacturing.
The ligand in PrimaS® contains a series of hydrogen donors and hydrogen acceptors, combined with a weak anion exchange character. Its hydrogen bonding ability makes its selectivity entirely distinct from traditional anion exchangers. PrimaS purifies large single-stranded mRNA (ssRNA) under aqueous conditions at ambient temperature. Contaminants are removed using a high salt wash, while ssRNA is recovered from the column with a pH gradient. It can be used for purification of ssRNA, including RNA exceeding 10 kb (such as self-amplifying RNA). In a purification process, it is most often employed for the capture of RNA in crude samples such as IVT mixtures.
PrimaS features:
- Multimodal chromatography ligand that combines elements of hydrogen bonding with anion exchange chromatography
- Offers unique selectivities in many important product areas
- Supports purification of single-stranded RNA at ambient temperature
- Fractionates ssRNA by size
Your benefits:
- Very fast processes by convective mass transport – resolution independent of flow
- Ready to use columns
- High-capacity for large molecules due to fully accessible void volume in the channels
- Laminar flow minimizes shear stress resulting in high yields
