Overview

Specifications

Sartobind® Lab units with ion exchange (IEX) chromatography membranes are a faster alternative to IEX resin columns. The pressure filter format is compatible with existing FPLC systems (e.g. ÄKTA) for preparative purification of proteins, nucleic acids, viral vectors and other biomolecules.

The Fastest Matrix

Mainly convective mass transfer helps to cut purification cycles to just a few seconds or minutes, resulting in up to 89% time savings over chromatography columns.

Plug and Play

Ready-for-use units avoid the need for column packing, while steps such as buffer degassing and prefiltration can be eliminated or consolidated to reduce setup time and effort.

Purify Your Way

The high mechanical strength of Sartobind® membranes enhances pressure resistance, enabling syringe-driven purifications without matrix compression and consumable lifespan reduction.

Productivity Boost

Macroporous membranes with high ligand densities eliminate size exclusion effects and resist blocking. As a result, the high binding capacities can be fully utilized for even the largest biomolecules and each Sartobind® Lab unit can be used for up to 100 cycles or more.

Simplify Tech Transfer

Quaternary ammonium (Q) and sulfonic acid (S) membranes are available across the entire Sartobind® chromatography portfolio. From Vivapure® for screening expression constructs and scouting purification conditions, to larger-scale formats for development and commercial production, your purification needs are easily met all the way from the lab to the clinic.
