The BioPAT® Tubeset Trace Dialysis for ethanol and methanol consists of the components necessary for analysis: Pump cassettes, valve tubes, measuring chamber, diffusion module, drip counters and connection lines for buffers, standards, waste as well as the sampling probe (dialysis). In addition, the dialysis tubing set is provided with a single-use syringe with three-way stopcock for the analysis of external samples. The Calibration solution and the transport buffer are connected on the labelled end points of the Tube set and are automatically pumped within the system loop. The Tube set is absolutely required for functionality and can be used in Biostat B® and Biostat B-DCU®. The Tube set is needed for the monitoring and control of methanol and ethanol. The Enzyme Reactor must be ordered separately.

To perform the sample analysis and for the transport of a sample from the vessel to the biosensor a Tube Set is necessary. A complete fluidic setup consisting of 1– 2 mm inner diameter tubing, peristaltic pump heads and ergonomically labelled connections is needed for every run. Each sampling method – dialysis or filtration – requires the corresponding Tube set to function correctly. The BioPAT® Multi Trace Tube set design has four sample lines which are controlled by automated pinch valves to sample from up to four different vessels. For easy identification, the back of the biosensor has a unique serial number printed above the electronic contact points.
