CIMmultus® CDI 8000 mL cGMP Compliant Monolithic Column (2 μm)
Choose your CIMmultus®
CIMmultus® Monoliths are reusable chromatography devices for scalable high-resolution purification of complex biological samples. Inside the custom designed housing is a single piece stationary phase with homogeneous channel size and surface chemistry. This stationary phase is designed to simplify method transfer from development into production.
They can be used as single-use disposable or multi-use columns, and they are available in various volume ranges – from 1mL for screening and method development purposes up to 40L for industrial manufacturing.
CDI monolithic chromatographic columns are used for covalent immobilisation of ligands (e.g. proteins, peptides and other amine or thiol containing molecules). The covalent nature of the bond between the ligand and matrix reduces leaching and improves stability and reusability. Immobilised supports enable a variety of customised analytical affinity chromatography options with interactions specific to the target molecule.
CDI (Carboxyimidazole) features:
- Forms a covalent carbamate linkage with amino and thiol-containing molecules
- Suitable for coupling of sensitive molecules, such as peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides
Benefits:
- Very fast processes by convective mass transport – resolution independent of flow
- Ready to use columns
- High-capacity for large molecules due to fully accessible void volume in the channels
- Laminar flow minimizes shear stress resulting in high yields
