Overview

Specifications

CIMmultus® Monoliths are reusable chromatography devices for scalable high-resolution purification of complex biological samples. Inside the custom-designed housing is a single-piece stationary phase with homogeneous channel size and surface chemistry. This stationary phase is designed to simplify method transfer from development into production.

They can be used as single-use disposable or multi-use columns, and they are available in various volume ranges – from 1mL for screening and method development purposes up to 40L for industrial manufacturing.

The PrimaS® HR line is a new generation of pre-packed chromatographic monolithic products developed to meet the most demanding separation and purification needs. HR stands for High Reproducibility between batches and different scales.

Features

  • Multimodal chromatography ligand that combines elements of hydrogen bonding with weak anion exchange chromatography.
  • Selected to meet the need for highly reproducible purification processes (e.g., separation of full AAV capsids from empty AAV capsids)
  • Column release criteria based on the AAV8 elution profile.
  • AAV Binding at neutral or closer to neutral pH compared to QA-based columns: Multimodal properties of PrimaS® HR allow binding of AAV in neutral or closer to neutral pH values compared to QA-based columns.
  • Reusability across multiple cycles reduces cost and supports high-throughput needs.
  • Endotoxin Removal: Provides superior reduction of endotoxin compared to strong anion-exchangers (e.g. QA).
  • cGMP-compliant: suitable for clinical and commercial production.

Benefits

  • Very fast processes by convective mass transport – resolution independent of flow
  • Ready to use columns
  • High-capacity for large molecules due to fully accessible void volume in the channels
  • Laminar flow minimizes shear stress resulting in high yields
