Design of Experiments (DOE) | Onsite Course

Design of Experiments (DOE) is a rational and cost-effective approach to practical experimentation that allows the effect of variables to be assessed using only the minimum of resources. The course is composed of lectures, demonstrations, and computer exercises in software MODDE® based on actual investigations. We always strive to deliver outstanding training focusing on the participants and their learning capacity.

Course Objective.

On completion, participants will know how to:

  • Create efficient experimental designs to match the investigation objective.
  • Analyze experimental data using sound statistical principles
  • Use graphical and statistical tools for model interpretation
  • Communicate the results in graphical and statistical format
  • Use numerical and graphical optimization tools
  • Understand limitations and possibilities in complex applications
  • Create follow up experiments when applicable

Who Should Participate?

The course is intended for researchers, scientists, and engineers from all sectors of industry and academia. Typical applications include product development, process improvement, optimization, validation, and quality control. No prior knowledge of statistics is assumed.

Course Material and Software

The electronic course material (course slides and exercises) and the MODDE® course license will be emailed two weeks before the course starts. MODDE® needs admin rights to be installed, so please get in touch with your IT as soon as possible if needed. Sartorius cannot help you to install MODDE®. For onsite courses, we recommend that each participant has access to the software on their own PC and that a projector is made available for the course Instructor.

Cost and Conditions

The 2-day open onsite course fee is 1750€ per person (2025 price).

Cancellations received later than two weeks before the course will not be refunded. For courses cancelled more than two weeks before the course starts, Sartorius Stedim Data Analytics AB will retain 10% of the course fee to cover administrative costs, and the rest of the amount will be refunded.

The registering company can substitute course participant(s) as long as Sartorius Stedim Data Analytics AB is notified before course commences.

Sartorius Stedim Data Analytics AB provides open onsite courses based on a specific number of registrants per session. Therefore, Sartorius Stedim Data Analytics AB reserves the right to cancel the course 14 days before the course start date if the number of registrants is below the minimum number needed. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund will be provided, along with a 10% discount for affected registrant(s) to enroll in the next available course.
