Sartorius SoloHill® Microcarriers
SoloHill® Microcarriers provide a cost-effective solution for scaling up adherent cell-based biopharmaceutical processes, from viral vaccines and vectors to stem cell cultures. They provide a large surface area for high-cell-density cultures in both small-scale and large-scale stirred-tank bioreactor (STR) systems. Their spherical, solid-core design eliminates the need for lengthy swelling or equilibration steps before use and enables efficient harvesting of cells or cell-derived products.
SoloHill® Microcarriers are available in multiple product formats including bottles and pre-sterilized Microcarrier Delivery System (MDS) bags for direct, aseptic bioreactor connection.
SoloHill® Collagen-coated Microcarriers
Different variants of Collagen-coated microcarriers are available under the part number prefixes C-215, C-221, and C-421, each with a defined density and particle-size range/surface area. C-221 is the recommended reference variant, with a relative density of 1.022–1.030 and a particle-size range of 125–212 µm.
SoloHill® Animal Protein-Containing (APC) Microcarriers
SoloHill® animal protein containing microcarriers - Collagen and FACT III - leverage animal‑derived collagen, a proven promoter of attachment and growth for adherent cell lines in monolayer culture. They enable a seamless transition from collagen‑based 2D systems to high‑productivity 3D microcarrier cultures across a wide range of cell types.
